Now, I don’t know if you all know this but I love Julep Maven! Since the day I signed up for this program (in December) I’ve been nothing but happy with my shipments. Wait, wait, I’m getting ahead of myself – let’s start at the beginning!
What is Julep Maven?
Julep Maven is a fantastic subscription program available in the US and Canada. For only $19.99 per month you receive $40 or more worth of product! Usually, this includes 2 nail varnishes and a beauty product (lip gloss, cuticle oil, nail therapy etc.) depending on which style box you choose. On the Julep Maven website you are asked to take a quiz to determine which style profile fits you best. They are American Beauty, It Girl, Boho Glam, Bombshell and Classic with a Twist and each box contains different colours based on your profile. Once you do this, each month on the 20th, Julep will send you an email showing you the contents of your upcoming box. I ended up being an American Beauty (or Canadian Beauty as I like to say) but the best part about this service is you can change your box each month if you prefer the colours in another box! It girl is a bit different from the other boxes as it doesn’t come with the beauty product but instead, another varnish. You also have the option of skipping a month without any penalty (my favourite option!). I like not feeling “locked in” to a subscription or obligated to get a box that I don’t like – take this month for example, I just purchased a mega-sized Essie polish remover and don’t like metallics on my nails so I skipped! There is also a new feature that allows you to add-on colours from other boxes to your box for only $4.99!
