New Vichy Pureté Thermale Cleansers

Vichy Purete Thermale Cleansers

Did you know great skin starts with a great cleanser? It’s true! I’ll admit, I don’t give cleansers much credit here on my blog as they often fail to make much of an impression on me, but they are essential to healthy, glowing and clear skin! These two new additions from Vichy are anything but your mundane, run-of-the-mill drugstore cleansers and they work in two different ways to get a truly deep clean. Whether you prefer an oil cleanser to take off all your makeup in one quick step, or a foaming cleanser to get your skin feeling squeaky clean, Vichy has a new cleanser for you and here’s why I love them both!

Vichy Pureté Thermale Beautifying Cleansing Micellar Oil$19.95 CAD (4.2oz) – I was about to type “let’s start off with my favourite of the two” until I realized, I really don’t have a favourite they are both pretty amazing! So let’s start out with the makeup removing powerhouse that is Vichy’s Micellar Oil. I’m a huge fan of cleansing oils, I feel like nothing else removes my makeup better or faster – even cleansing wipes – so I was thrilled to be able to test this baby out. I’ve used my fair share of cleansing oils, from drugstore brands to high-end, ridiculously expensive ones but this middle-of-the-road formulation from Vichy has quickly made it into my top three of all time. This is definitely a welcome change to the $35.00 I was paying for my beloved Boscia Makeup Breakup!

Here’s a little demonstration for you using my new NARS VIBRouge Birthday gift from Sephora. I swatched a Satin Finish Lip Pencil, Matte Finish Lip Pencil and Larger than Life Black eyeliner and applied one drop of Vichy Micellar Oil and worked it in a bit, I then wiped it off with a tissue and every last trace of makeup was gone and my skin was baby soft! It’s results are even better when you add water and it turns into a creamy cleansing milk which rinses completely clean and leaves skin feeling fresh with no greasy residue.

Vichy Pureté Thermale Fresh Cleansing Gel $19.95 CAD (6.7oz) – Usually I shy away from anything that says “cleansing gel” or “foaming cleanser” because I’m prone to pretty dry skin and rough patches when I use something too harsh. So when I spotted this in my mailbox I was reluctant to start using it. One day I decided to bite the bullet, I used the Micellar Oil to remove my makeup then hopped in the shower to rinse it off. I felt like my skin wasn’t quite clean enough (I had been wearing a lot of foundation that day for a wedding) so I reached for this cleanser. My first impression was that it made a lot of foam with such a small amount of product, which made me think “Eek, this is going to be even more drying than I thought!”, but once I applied it to my skin and rinsed it off, I realized this stuff is different. This isn’t like any cleansing gel that I’ve used in the past! It’s gentle, effective and leaves skin feeling super soft and hydrated – not tight and dry!

This photo really doesn’t do it’s foaming ability justice but I had to show you how milky and soft the foam is! When you rub it between your hands, a half a pump is more than enough to cleanse your entire face, neck and décolleté. Seriously, this bottle is going to last you forever!

So there you have it. Two new amazing cleansers from the Vichy Pureté Thermale line that you need to try. Better yet, if you like double cleansing like me these two go perfectly together to give you perfectly clean skin without stripping it whatsoever! And to end this post, I have a little confession to make about the cleansing gel, I use it as my body wash. It’s so gentle and the scent is so light and pretty that I’ve just started using it everywhere! I still use so little of it that it’s going to last me 10 years even if I keep going at this rate!
