Today I have to share with you one of my favourite skin care products. I’m a big fan of Eye Creams. I feel like they are an essential part of my routine, not only to add much needed moisture in the eye area to help diminish fine lines, but also to combat my super sporadic and super annoying eyelid eczema. Yes, that’s right, eyelid eczema. And as you may know, eczema is one hard thing to treat, especially on such thin skin! After trying and testing an astonishing number of eye creams, I finally fell upon this one – Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment, and have had some great results!
I’ve definitely learned the past couple years that my skin is really sensitive to fragrance and artificial ingredients. Just like my body skin, the skin around my eyes, especially the parts with eczema, need super gentle, and effective ingredients to help it perform at its best. I’ve found that for me, the more natural and gentle the formulation, the better my skin reacts and the quicker it clears up. This eye treatment is both of those things, simple and effective!
Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment is a very rich and emollient formulation. The green colour comes from the fresh avocado oil and the richness comes from ultra-hydrating shea butter. It also has a very unique texture once applied to the skin. In the photo, it looks thick and like it may not spread around the delicate eye area easily, but once applied to skin, it actually turns quite liquid! It then applies easily and sinks into skin, without leaving a greasy residue, making it perfect for day or night application.

I use this mostly at night because I like to use something during the day with an SPF. But sometimes, when I need extra hydration, I’ll layer this under my Shiseido Sun Protection SPF 34 Eye Cream. I definitely recommend this for anyone but especially those with sensitive skin or extra sensitive eye areas. This little pot will last forever as you only need a tiny dab to fully cover both eyes. I’m hoping this is keeping fine lines at bay (for now!) but I’ll settle with knowing it’s keeping away dryness and helping control my eczema!
