Poremask1

Hey everyone, hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! My brother and I took our mom out for breakfast and had some delicious food and Mimosas!

I spent the rest of my weekend Spring Cleaning! Between my boyfriend and I we have excessive amounts of clothes, so we went through them and gave some away to charity. While we were busy going through our never-ending pile of clothes I thought it would be the perfect time to indulge my skin in a treatment mask! The one I chose this week is new from Shoppers Drug Mart (Target in the USA), it’s Masque Bar Pore Refining Creme Mask.

I recently stopped by a different Shoppers Drug Mart than my usual one and found this new line of masks hiding in the skin care isle. Masque Bar offers five different types of masks, Pore Refining, Brightening (featured in Allure this month), Wrinkle Reducing, Anti-Blemish and Firming and Lifting. I only noticed three of these at my Shoppers – Brightening, Anti-Blemish and Pore Refining. I chose Pore Refining because let’s face it, who couldn’t use smaller pores?

Each Masque Bar box contains 3 single use packets or sheet masks. The Pore Refining mask is a gentle Creme mask packed with beneficial ingredients for any skin type. Some of the big ones include Bentonite Clay to absorb oil, Glycerin for comfort and hydration, Co-enzyme Q10 and a bunch of anti-oxidants. Here’s a full list (click to enlarge the photo):

The first time I used this mask I saw a noticeable difference in the size of my pores! This is the first time I’ve used a 15 minute mask and actually noticed a difference in my skin afterwards (that wasn’t hydration). Honestly, I rarely expect much from masks other than a lovely, pampering experience and some much needed me time – but this one was too good not to share, so I did the unthinkable… I took a picture of my pores! Please try not to be grossed out and just focus on the difference this mask can make!

I really hope you can all see the difference because this is literally one of the last body parts I want a photo of on the internet! But, I had to show you guys the difference so you could actually SEE the change and not just hear me blabber on about it. So, the proof is in the pudding! Personally I notice a big difference, and we all know nothing can “get rid of pores” but we can help them look better and Masque Bar Pore Refining Mask is an excellent way to do that! Another great aspect of it is it keeps skin feeling hydrated and it doesn’t dry out like other clay masks. It’s creme-gel texture is wonderful and it feels cooling and soothing on the skin.

If you’re struggling with enlarged pores don’t hesitate to pick up this mask! It’s available exclusively at Target in the US and Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada. I’m going to pick up which ever other kinds I can find because if they are even half as effective as this one, they will be great!
