Now that the weather is warming up (please stay this time!), I’ve started switching my skin care and makeup routine towards more summery formulations. Another reason is, I recently went to Mexico for a week and didn’t wear any makeup the entire time I was there – only tinted moisturizer and sunscreen. At the end of the trip I had mentioned to my boyfriend that I hadn’t even used my makeup bag since we got there, his response was “You mean your skin naturally looks that good?” and that was that – no more foundation for me! All I had been wearing was a couple different tinted moisturizers so I knew they were my new go-to!
Pixi H2O Skin Tint doesn’t only even out skin tone, it also gives you some skin care benefits (much like a BB Cream) including a hefty dose of hydration, green tea antioxidants and calming chamomile. If you happened to see my recent post on the EcoTools Skin Perfecting Brush, you’ll know that it applies this tinted gel like a dream! The pigments in this skin tint are undetectable once buffed into the skin and you’re left with flawless looking, luminous (with no shimmer) skin.
Another great feature of Pixi H2O Skin Tint is the super handy pump. I’m not a big fan of squeeze tubes for product, I find them messy and hard to get the right amount of product without any waste. With a pump you can easily measure exactly what you need. The shade my Pixi H2O Skin Tint is in is No. 2 Nude – a neutral medium tone. Although there are only three colour choices, Cream, Nude and Warm, the shades are very blendable and forgiving and could probably work for just about every skin tone with exceptions of very porcelain and very deep.
Like I said before, this tint does have some coverage but it looks so natural on skin no one will be able to tell. I have slightly dry skin and this provides just the right amount of moisture for my skin, but I’m almost positive it would work for all skin types except maybe very oily. Even if you have oily skin I would still try this one out. It’s super refreshing and non-greasy whatsoever. The only downfall in this product, for me, is that it doesn’t include a sunscreen. I think it would definitely be a home run with an SPF built in!
Overall, I think this product helped in getting those lovely compliments from my boyfriend on how good my skin looks! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a sheer, tinted moisturizer with no greasy feel and a good dose of hydration.
