About a month ago, I was lucky enough to win an amazing prize pack from Vapour Organic Beauty. If you know me, you know I like to try to use natural/organic products – obviously not possible all the time but I’m happy to do so when I can! Included in my prize was this great Lipstick. This is Vapour Siren Lipstick in Desire (403). It’s a warm, rosy pink suitable for most skin colours. It’s sort of a rosy nude – your lips but better! Here’s what Vapour has to say about their Siren lipstick:
Siren is a naturally long-wearing, moisturizing lipstick in sixteen flattering, fashion–forward shades. It’s designed to flatter to all skin tones and nourish parched lips in style.
Siren is a striking new advance in lipstick formulation! Pure plant ingredients are vacuum processed, without chemicals, to produce a moisturizing shine that rivals the performance of its mainstream counterparts. That’s why Editor’s at Lucky and Allure rave about Siren!
Siren is made with 70% Certified Organic ingredients and 30% natural mineral pigments & vitamins. Siren is designed to protect lips from moisture loss and environmental assault.Siren’s NEW botanical infusion contains hydrating Myrrh, Rose buds, healing Lemon Balm, antioxidant Pomegranate, soothing Jojoba oil and essential fatty acid rich Camilina oil.
Siren is a long wearing lipstick and lip conditioner in one amazing chemical free formula!
Not only is it natural, but it has super sleek packaging that I love to pull out of my purse! It also feels moisturizing on lips and wears for a surprisingly long time. It doesn’t cake up and provides a semi-matte finish.
I would personally rather have the applicator be tapered (like a traditional lipstick) and not flat as I don’t have the biggest lips in the world and this can be tricky to apply. But, that being said it’s much smaller than traditional lipsticks so it should be okay as long as you take the time to be careful!
Like I said, it’s a warm rosy-nude with a hint of orange undertone. It looks much nicer on my actual lips (as most lip products do) and is a great nude lip to finish off the face with when you don’t want anything too bold.
It always shocks me at how different an arm-swatch looks compared to lip. It applies more pink to lips (which is good) and isn’t far off from my natural lip colour. I love the idea of having natural lip products as I know we eat most of them off throughout the day. There is some crazy statistic that says women eat something insane like 2 lbs of lipstick in their lifetime. If that’s true, I’d rather it be jojoba oil based and not full of lead! I definitely would like to pick up a few more shades of this lipstick as it does everything I want in a lip product. Long wear, comfortable, gorgeous finish and colour and is natural!
