I was searching through my stash of eyeliners this morning when I came across my collection of Elf Cream Eyeliners and decided I just had to tell you all about them! You may have heard me rave about Metallic Olive being a gorgeous shade to compliment my green eyes but that isn’t the only shade of these liners I have, no not by a long shot! The first one I purchased was Metallic Olive  and that’s what got me hooked. I then picked up Teal Tease and Midnight and the Ivory shade came as a free gift during one of their “Mystery Bag” promos. The little lone ranger in the middle of the picture is actually an Elf Cream Eyeshadow in Natural Glow but I don’t really believe it due to the packaging. I ordered it along with another cream eyeshadow and the two looked completely different, therefore I’m treating this one as an eyeliner, since it matches them better.

This is what the liners look like in the packaging. They are creamy, pigmented and last all day – although I will say that it does vary depending on which shade you’re talking about. Metallic Olive and Midnight  have the best overall pigmentation, texture and wear, whereas Ivory, Teal Tease and Natural Glow have less pigmentation, drier textures and wear off a little easier. That’s pretty normal with dark versus light shades so I let it slide – they are still all very good for $3 cream liners!

I had expected Teal Tease to be a bit more pigmented than it is, it’s actually quite sheer and you have to build the colour to get an opaque line – which you can do and it stays put. Ivory is also less opaque than I imagined but it’s a great inner corner highlight and also great applied as a cream shadow. Overall for $3 each you can’t go wrong picking up a few of these Elf Cream Eyeliners. I think my collection will expand to include all the colours next time a BOGO sale comes up! They are comparable to my MAC Fluidlines and even my Make Up For Ever Aqua Black when it comes to wear and staying power. They also come in a wide variety of colours so you can experiment without breaking the bank!
