As you may already know, Essence Gel Liner is one of my all time favourite liners! These last longer than any other “long wearing”, “waterproof”, “tattoo” liners or shadows I’ve ever tried and they aren’t even marketed as such! Midnight in Paris (rich, jet black) is my everyday go to but when I saw London, Baby! I knew I had to have it too! (PS: I think this shade is discontinued so if you see it, GRAB IT!)
These have quite a different texture than other gel liners I’ve tried, I would call them more of a cream liner. They are super soft and creamy and do take some getting used to for application, but once you get the hang of them they are super smooth and easy to apply and give great pigment and wear!
I’m not quite sure how to describe London, Baby! in terms of colour. To me, it’s a gunmetal-taupe-purple… if that can count as a colour. It’s quite complex and seriously gorgeous! It’s hard to do this colour justice with a photo but I hope I captured some of it’s amazingness!
This is a bit darker than it comes off in real life but I just couldn’t get it perfect! You can still see the shimmer and pretty gunmetal colour though.
This one is a bit better but I still didn’t capture the purple undertone it gives off. The best photo I’ve seen of this is over at Makeup and Beauty Blog, Karen always has the most amazing photos and she really does this shade justice (Oh, and she also gives them an A+!).
I’ve see a lot of different opinions on these around the blogosphere but mine is outstanding and I highly recommend them! Especially since they are so inexpensive. The only negative about these is that I wish they came in more colours – hopefully soon!
