A Sheer Genius – Dalton Soft Matte Bronzer Review

I think there is a recurring theme on my blog lately. It’s black and pink and starts with a “D”. No, it isn’t my blog design – it’s Dalton Cosmetics! Ever since the first time I tried out the line I’ve fallen more and more in love with each product! Dalton was nice enough to send me a few of their newer products to try out and they definitely lived up to my high standards of the brand!

This is Dalton Soft Matte Bronzer and Brush. I’ve had trouble finding a bronzer that isn’t too dark for my über pale skin. Usually they leave my face looking muddy or unnaturally dark compared to the rest of my body, no matter how light I apply! Lately, I’ve been lucky enough to find two, that’s right two, sheer, natural looking and buildable bronzers, this being one of them!

This photo is very true to colour with the actual product. Don’t be wary by the orange-ish hue that it may be giving off because it applies as the most natural tan I’ve come across! It’s very sheer but buildable, great for us with pale skin who want a bit of a tan glow but don’t want to go as far as Jersey Shore territory. This is also a very large compact and comes with a mirror (all of Dalton’s compacts come with mirrors, including the eyeliners!) which makes it super useful – I always have some sort of Dalton compact in my purse because their packaging is light weight and their mirrors are great quality.

This bronzer only comes in one shade, Golden Pearl, but I think it would suit a fairly wide variety of skin tones. Oh, and did you spot that little sentence at the bottom there? Yep, you read right “MADE IN CANADA” – love it! The brush they sent me to apply this powder bronzer is one of the softest I’ve come across! I have a couple other brushes from Dalton and all of them are top quality, super soft and don’t shed. It’s also the perfect size and shape for applying a sheer wash of bronzer, ensuring you don’t get any tell-tale splotches or streaks.
