I want a gorgeous, golden tan as much as the next girl but I’m not about to lie out in the sun and fry my skin for it nor am I going to settle for an orange, streaky, faux mess! I’ve tried quite a few different brands and formulations over the years and have found that the best kind (for me) are the gradual types. I’m pretty pale and with the instant tans I tend to develop streaks, tell-tale rings on feet, ankles and hands and the colour never looks quite right. But with the gradual tans, they are much more forgiving and even if you apply it badly one day, the other days will even it out and give you a gorgeous believable glow.
On to my review – this is Perricone MD No Sun Tanner. First, let me start off by saying I only use this particular product on my face and neck. I have a different sunless tanner that I use for the rest of my body. The reason for this is Perricone’s sunless tanner costs a whopping $69.00 for only 4oz! I certainly did not pay that price, I received this in eBeauty.ca’s Spring Beauty Bag along with a ton of other products for only $30, but I still don’t want to use it all over my body! It’s quite a small bottle and I don’t think it would last you more than two weeks if you were applying it to your entire body.
On the plus size, as a facial sunless tanner I LOVE this product! It gives an amazing natural glow (I actually got asked how I got such a nice tan so early in the season by a stranger!) and has a lot of extra benefits in the formulation.
Aqua (Water), Squalane, Dihydroxyacetone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Phosphatidylcholine, Aleurites Moluccana (Kukui) Seed Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Caffeine, Benzyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Erythrulose, Ceteareth-20, Citric Acid, Acetyl Tyrosine, Parfum (Fragrance), Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Mica, Disodium EDTA, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Dimethyl MEA (DMAE), Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Oil, 7-Dehydrocholesterol, Tocotrienols, Titanium Dioxide, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Iron Oxides (CI77491), Benzyl Benzoate, Coumarin.
Cocoa butter, Kukui oil and Squalane provide great hydration which helps the tan to last longer on the skin. There is also things like Caffeine, DMAE, Hylauronic Acid and Vitamins A & E which you rarely find in a sunless tanner. It smells amazing, applies seamlessly and never leaves streaks or a fake colour. If you have the extra $69.00 to spend or really want extra benefits in your sunless tanner I would definitely recommend this one – but probably only as a facial tan so it will last you longer!
